CrushGang is home to several food service employees and at home chefs! Here at CrushGang; FOOD is our second passion. On this website you can find a blog where members of the CrushGang family will post their own recipes and home cooked meals! Now we know that there is not a CrushGang restaurant yet, but just look at the word we just italicized. Yet.

Here at CrushGang we base ourselves on one main idea. Love. Real genuine love. Whether we spread it through the music, the food, or even just a regular thing we do on a daily basis. We try to be the love that someone might be missing. Love makes Family. Love is Family.
what it takes 2 be slim
SlimCarrey has been writing songs since he was 8 years old. His first song he ever wrote was titled “Sitting on the Football field”. When he performed the song in front of the whole family for the first time, he was so nervous he sang the song underneath a table. Fast Forward to 13 years later, while SlimCarrey was performing his first show; he forgot every single word to the songs he wrote and had to freestyle for 15 minutes. SlimCarrey has created 28 projects and is still adding to his discography. His most recent release “He Shoots, He Misses” shows that the colossal amount of work he has put into the music, is finally showing results when it comes to the way he wants the music to sound.
SlimCarrey received his name one night when he was hanging out with Kay Ferris and DJ KVHN. At the time, he was wearing a Jim Carrey shirt, the young group had thought about rap names before, and SlimCarrey was originally named “VELOCIT-E”. SlimCarrey was known for his goofy personality, and for a long time before “SlimCarrey” was ever mentioned; a lot of people said that he resembled Jim. So during this specific night, wearing that specific shirt. He looked like Jim Carrey, and then Kay Ferris called him Slim, well because he was just that. SLIM. And thus the legend of SlimCarrey was born.
SlimCarrey’s note - Keeping CrushGang together is one of the biggest tasks I am faced with everyday, but I tackle it with confidence and joy. Life has hit every single member of the CrushGang crew sideways at one point in time, and it’s bound to happen again. CrushGang is a real family. We may not see eye to eye, and some of us may never see the other’s eyes. But it doesn’t matter, because at the end of the day; the music brings us all together and it makes us strong. If I randomly put Da 5 Star General on a track, then right after use a beat produced or mixed by DJ KVHN, I can connect the two with the lyrics. Thus in a way connecting Da 5 Star General to DJ KVHN without them ever meeting. This is my Goal when it comes to CrushGang. I want us all to be connected, because we are; it’s just that most don’t see it.
